More pokedots

I went out today to look for curtains for the new house when I found this cute litle stool, that goes perfectly with the pokedot potholders, that are almost finished. These are the best finds, when you find something you didn't even know you needed. This thing comes in handy, because our kitchen kabinets are very tall and I cant reach the top shelves.

I also finished a baby vest for the granddaughter of a friend. I love knitting baby things, they are so cute and are finished in no time at all.

Birds and Pokedots

finally most boxes are unpacked and I'm crafting again.

I'm starting to decorate my new kitchen and I really need new potholders.

I love red and white pokedots

so I'm making red potholders with white pokedots.

I could not find a pattern anywhere, so I made my own.

The little white birdies are now living on our kitchen table as salt and

pepper figures. I found them this week and just had to have them.

I'll show a pic, when the potholders are all finished.

A Great find.....

... is this hands free soap dispenser from Lysol

it is rather inexpensive and there are lot of coupons

the only thing that bothered me is to buy the refill bottles

they are small and rather expensive.

I tried to remove the bottom part and refill it, but that did not work.

Here is my solution.

I used my dremel tool to cut out a hole on top of the refill and capped it

with a part of a dish soap bottle cap.

it works great and I can refill it with any soap I want.

now I'm using one dispenser for dish soap and one for hand soap in the kitchen.

with rechargable batteries it is even more.eco friendly.

The count down is on!!

Two more days until we are getting the keys for our new home.

There is so much to be done.

This weekend we bought all new appliances.

I'm so glad, my great husband bought me the LG gas range

I always wanted.

Stainless steel, 5 burners, large capacity,self cleaning.

I'll be doing a lot of cooking and baking.

We are replacing the microwave with a hood.

all appliances are sainless steel.

the counter top will be granite.

the cabinets are being painted white.

new door hardware.

The list is long and this is just the kitchen.

We are moving

We are moving

We bought a house that needs a lot of TLC,

but has a lot of potential

it has a great layout and a lot of space

I'm planning a lot of projects to transform the house.

A lot going on

I'm very busy at the moment, we are getting ready to sell our house and I'm renovating nonstop.

We had a fun weekend, we had the first snow and we enjoyed it.

Now I just have to fill them with chocolates and they are ready to go on the tree.

yesterday Malik had his Christmas party

Gestern hatte Malik seine Weihnachtsfeier.

he made this fun cake for the bake off comptition.

He said it is a Star Wars Lego Snow cake.

Er hat diesen Kuchen dekoriert fuer einen Backwettbewerb.

Es soll ein Star Wars Lego Schnee -Kuchen sein.

Our tree is up

yesterday we put on some nice christmas music and decorated the tree,

gestern haben wir uns schoene Weihnachtsmusik angemacht und unseren Baum geschmueckt.

I love looking at all the ormaments, especially the ones the kids made,

Ich mag es den Baumschmuck anzusehen, besonders die Selbstgebastelten Sachen der Kinder

we made some 3D paper stars for the teachers

wir haben 3D sternd fuer die Lehrer gebastelt

and I finished a couple of christmas cones, I love making these there are soo many possibilities

und es sind wieder ein paar Spitztueten fuer Weihnachten fertig geworden, sie sind ziemlich einfach zu naehen und es gibt so viele Moeglichkeiten sie zu dekorieren
