Knitting for christmas

Tomorrow is the first Advent, this year I'm not knitting socks, I'm knitting an advent wreath. I love this idea, here you can find a great tutorial, it is in German, but you'll get the idea.

 

now we can get busy decorating it. .... So warm and fuzzy, it makes you feel good.

Just finished this week are these little baby sets.

I made one of the pink sets as a present for the granddaughter of a nice lady at work and it turned into 3 more sets.

I love knitting baby hats, they are cute and fast to knit. You can find this pattern on "ravelry".

Getting ready for Fall

Der Herbst kann kommen

in the last weeks of summer I'm working on some things for my fall wardrobe.

in den letzten Sommerwochen arbeite ich an ein paar Sachen fuer den Herbst.

I finally had time to knit a citron shawl.

Endlich hatte ich Zeit einen Citron Tuch zu stricken

I added an additional round in the end to make the scarf a little bigger.

Ich habe eine weitere Muster-runde gestrickt um das Tuch etwas groesser zu machen.

Now I'm waiting for some cold weather.

Jetzt muss nur noch das kalte Wetter kommen.

This is my next project, I 'm working on my yarn stash and this beautiful yarn was perfect for this scarf.

meisn naechstes Projekt ist dieser Schal, ich versuche meine Wollvoraete langsam aufzubrauchen und dieses Garn war perfect fuer den Schal.

Pokedots and summer top

I started my day with a cup of coffee and finished my pokedot potholders.

Ich begann meinen Tag mit einer Tasse Kaffee und beendete meine Pokedot -topflappen.

it took a little longer, because I started another project in between.

es dauerte etwas laenger, weil ich ein neues Projekt angefangen habe.

I saw this cute Sommer top in a German Magazine that I had bought there this summer

Ich fand dieses tolle Sommer-Top in einer Zeitschrift, die ich bei unserem Besuch in Deutschland gekauft habe.

I loved the pattern , this pattern is addictive, I could not put the needles down. It took every free minute for 3 days, but now it is finished.
I used microfiber yarn for this project, because wool would be too warm for summer.

Ich mag die Anleitung, diese Anleitung macht suechtig, ich konnte die Nadeln nicht weglegen, ich habe ueber 3 Tage jede freie Minute gestrickt und jetzt ist es fertig.

Ich hoffe, dass es noch ein paar Tage warm bleibt, dass ich das Top noch ein paar mal anziehen kann.

I hope it stays warm for a while so I can wear the top a few more times.
