Christmas present??

Another one to cross of my list :). I found this great video tutorial 

on Pinterest and have been wanting to try it.

The cutting is a little tricky, but it is very easy to sew and the tutorial is great, it is in german, but it is easy to understand even if you do not speak the language.

This pouch has a lot of room for all kinds of stuff. Perfect as a Christmas present :) HINT!

 I made these cute snowflake barrettes.

I found these adorable pointsettia flowers on Embroidery Garden .

These are perfect little presents to give away.

Knitting for christmas

Tomorrow is the first Advent, this year I'm not knitting socks, I'm knitting an advent wreath. I love this idea, here you can find a great tutorial, it is in German, but you'll get the idea.

 

now we can get busy decorating it. .... So warm and fuzzy, it makes you feel good.

...it looks like Christmas is over, we are eating the last christmas cookies and

I'm taking down some more decorations. it came and went too fast,

here are another couple of things made for Christmas,

for our neighbors I made embroidered christmas bags and filled them with candy and nuts.

Polar bear bag

I promised one of my co-workers a polar bear bag and finally had time to sew it.

She wanted just a regular bag, but I wanted to make something special.

I hope she likes it.

Diese kleinen Stiefel haben wir heute an unseren Nachbarskinder und Freunde verteilt.

another christmas present idea

I saw similar Grocery bag organizers at a store

and thought what a great idea

but instead of spending about 10 $ each

I made my own. The Fabric I had in my stash was a perfect fit.

The bag is about 7 in wide and 16 in long (plus a few inches for the hanger)

It has elastic sewn in at top and bottom.

These are easy to make and are very useful. I used to have an entire shelf in my pantry filled up with all kinds of grocery bags, now I have this organizer.

I like that it limits the amount of bags to keep, when it is full the bags go in the recycling bin.

Meine Jungs machen ihre Origami- Sterne in allen moeglichen Variationen.

Sie werden als Baumschmuck und Geschenkdekorationen verwendet und ich naehe und stricke. Ein handgemachtes Geschenk ist fuer mich viel schoener als etwas gekauftes.

Rechts ist ein Schal aus Microfaser mit Blaetterrand und links ist ein genaehtes Set mit Kalender/Notizbuch, Schluesselanhaenger und Kosmetiktasche.
